Update: Cool Ties for Mahwah Marine Moms
This morning I dropped off another batch of completed cool ties, which brings my total to 46. I was on my way to an appointment in Glen Rock and running behind schedule, so I only had a few moments to speak to Terry.
Although our conversation was brief, I learned two things -- first, with the next shipment they are sending out, they will have sent about 300 cool ties to the troops; second, they will only be shipping the completed cool ties through the end of July.
In my last update, I wrote that I had planned on making 20 ties a month through the end of the summer. A week or so ago I prepped the fabric and cut out about 50 ties ready to stitch. So instead of doing a few a week, I guess I'll be stepping up the assembly line and finish as many as I can this month only.
So, first I need to finish my second trial pair of shorts, and then I'll be cranking out some cool ties!
